The story of Black Diamonds

The band was founded in january 2000 by Krisztina Tóth (drums), László Kovalcsik (bass) and Károly Heim (guitar). Our style is classic heavy metal. Soon Adrienn Antal (vocals) and Sándor Való (guitar) joined us.

We had our first gig with this lineup in february 2000, which was followed by numerous shows in may and june.

Our "lucky" period began in the fall. We were unable to make the announced gigs in September and October because two members (Sándor and Adrienn) have left the band. Through months after this we searched for the right musicians and in the summer of 2002 we found them. The problems still not ended, because operations had to be taken on both legs of our drummer.

In the spring of 2003, after the recovery of our drummer we started to make gigs again and began to record a demo.

The musicians playing on the demo: Viktória Mészáros (vocals), Krisztina "Krisy" Tóth (drums), László "Kova" Kovalcsik (bass), Károly Heim (guitar), Imre "Oleg" Kószó (guitar). Nowdays we can be heard live once or twice in a month, at different locations. Along our own songs we play covers from Manowar, HammerFall, Stratovarius, Black Sabbath, Grave Digger and Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Accept.

In october 2003 Dominika Németh replaced Károly Heim on the post of guitarist. In 2004 Imre "Oleg" Kószó (guitar) replaced Gergely Szeróvay. Current line-up: Viktória Mészáros (vocals), Krisztina "Krisy" Tóth (drums), László "Kova" Kovalcsik (bass), Dominika Németh (guitar), Gergely Szeróvay (guitar)

From the second half of the year we had numerous gigs e.g.: with Nemesis, Forr-a-dalom Festival at the PeCsa. You can see us live at 2005. At the beginning of the year we were guests of Mr. Basary Group, from April we are touring with Demonlord: at Miskolc, Nyíregyháza, Veszprém, Győr.
At the shows we received positive responses.

In August we got opportunity to play at the 15. anniversary party of Akela, after applied at the talentshow of Gyöngyös, where we won special prize. In September we played as a guest of Everwood then because of personal and school occupation the most of the members we split. After long months of searching at the end of 2006 we found a new members: Áron "Jézus" Tanos lead guitar, László "Carlos Cavazo" Perjés lead guitar, Zoltán "Székelytroll" Fábián vocal. We are working hard to make shows as soon as possible.

Now is the time that we keep our promise we were on stage on the 08.06.2007. in Chaplin Pub with Empty Rooms, and on the 22.06.2007 you could see us live in ¨Kutatóintézet¨.

The year of 2008 brought changes for us.. Áron Tanos and Zoltán Fábián left
the band because of clashes of musical opinions and personal opposites.
Gábor Tóth and Imre Varga supplanted them.
